Joseph Joe Gary Abeyta, 62, of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away on July 18, 2023. Born on March 27, 1961, Joe was a kind-hearted and outgoing individual who always brought laughter to those around him. There was never a dull moment when he was present. He was also very generous whether he had little or much he always made an attempt to share with others.
Joseph grew up in Trinidad, he graduated from Trinidad High School in 1980. After graduating Joe worked for BN Railroad, he relocated to Colorado Springs in the early 80s, and throughout his life, he held various jobs including Waste management, construction, and concrete work. He was also a handyman and took great pride in taking care of his elderly client’s yards.
He is survived by his children, Joey Abeyta, Jasmine Williamson, and Jared Abeyta, as well as his adored granddaughters, Marley, Delilah, and Ensley. joe also leaves behind siblings: Robert, Louie, Don, Sadie, Alex, Barbara, and Ron, as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ezequiel and Cecelia Abeyta, and his sister and brother-in-law Susan and Steve Vallejos. A memorial service to honor Joe’s life will be held on Saturday, September 16th at noon at Rocky Mountain Calvary Church located at 4285 North Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
