In Loving Memory of Amy Lucille Hart

Amy Lucille Hart, 72, of Hoehne Colorado received her crown of glory on September 1, 2023, at her home surrounded by love. Amy was born in Trinidad, Colorado to Mary Jo and Bart Barbata on April 6, 1952. While attending Hoehne High School, Amy met her once-in-a-lifetime love wearing a blue shirt and a black cowboy hat. Amy and Ernie celebrated 51 years of marriage in June. Their God-centered marriage was an example of true happiness and vows unbroken. Although Amy had a degree in education and even helped start a Christian school, her biggest accomplishment was her role as a nurturing mom to her eight children. Her Legacy lives on in daughter Rebecca Walton and husband Joshua; son Johndale Hart and wife Malinda; son Luke Hart and wife Niki, son Herbie Hart and wife Cassie, daughter Mary Hill and husband Craig, Daughter Debora Menegatti and husband Rickie, daughter Abigail Tamburelli and husband Justin, and son David Hart. Her presence and prayers brought each of them peace and joy that is irreplaceable. Amy later retired from the Colorado State Extension office so she could spend more time as “Nana” to her grandchildren: Evan, Caden, Brady, Brett, Kinley, Hailey, Adelyn, Matthew, Tommy, Amylou, Bobby, Branch, Breck, Archer, Cutter, Henry, and Hartley. Nana held her seventeen grandchildren in her heart and had a special connection with each one of them. She touched the hearts of many, was kind without reason, welcoming to all who entered her life and her love for God guided her every decision. As much as we miss her, we are comforted knowing she is home, and we will be with her again. She made her way to Heaven shouting VICTORY.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 9th at the First Christian Church of Trinidad with Pastor Cary Nelson officiating.

The family wishes to thank Mt. Rose Hospice of Trinidad for the loving services they provided and to Dr. Eric Clark for the many years of friendship and care.
