Charles Wesley Green, age 86, died on Sunday, August 20, 2023, in Clayton, New Mexico.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Mountain Time, Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at the First Baptist Church of Clayton, with Rev. Hilario Perez, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon, Texas at 2:30 PM Central Time by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.
Charles Wesley Green was born on March 8, 1937, at home in Deaf Smith County, Texas to Charles Green and Edna Dona (Smith) Green. He attended public schools in Hereford, Texas. Charles married Wanda Gail (Pettit) Green on August 14, 1954, in Canyon, Texas. He worked for the Texas Department of Transportation for 37 years, retiring in 1993. Charles and Wanda lived in the Canyon area until moving to Amarillo in 2008. They purchased a cabin in Stonewall, Colorado in 1998 and spent their time between their homes until Charles moved full time to Colorado in 2017. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Wanda of 62 years, his son Craig Green, 2 brothers, Jim Green and his wife Jesse and Bob Green and his wife Susan, 1 sister, Helen Smith and her husband Eldon, 3 sisters-in-law, Nelda Currie and her husband Golden, Karen Johnson and her husband Jack and Kathy Williams and by a brother-in-law, Dino Gianinni.

1 DAUGHTER: Tammy Kear and her husband Eugene of Clayton, New Mexico.
1 SISTER: Virginia Gianinni of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
1 BROTHER-IN-LAW: Kirk Williams of Happy, Texas.
5 GRANDCHILDREN: Zack Kear, Brittany Hardy and her husband Drew, Morgan Dillon and her husband Devon, Lance Green and Tiffany Green.
And many nieces and nephews.
