In Loving Memory of José A Nolan Jr.

José A Nolan Jr, better known as Junior passed on November 28th, 2022 at the age of 86 years old in Raton New Mexico

 

He is preceded in death by His Father Alfonso Nolan Sr, and Mother Rosie Nolan both of Miami. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Frances Nolan. His three brothers Paul Nolan of Miami, Albert Nolan of Miami, and the now late Charlie Nolan of Boise City. As well as his sister Priscilla Burnett of Boise city. Junior had two children, his son Ron Nolan of Miami, and Daughter Renita Nolan of Albuquerque, as well as three Grandkids Aspen of Miami, Jayden of Miami, and Jacob of Albuquerque.

 

Junior Graduated from Springer high school in 1955. It would be in Cimarron that Junior would meet Frances Duran. The two would be married by 1957. He would soon be drafted into the US Army where he would serve his four years stationed in Fort Louise, Washington. From here Junior would return to Miami taking carpentry jobs with his brother Paul until he was hired on by Philmont Scout Ranch. Junior retired from Philmont in 1996. Juniors hobbies included hunting, fishing, making crafts in his shop, and visiting his many friends and family across northern New Mexico. He will be deeply missed by those friends and family for his kind heart, his willingness to help, his sense of humor, and his ability to light up any room he entered.

 

Services for José A Nolan Jr will be held on August 11th at 11:00 AM at ST Joseph’s Catholic Church in Springer New Mexico. Lunch will be served after services.
