New Door in Church Of Christ Building in Des Moines

According to the Union County Sheriff’s Office a Colorado SUV left the roadway and created a new door in the west side of the Church of Christ in Des Moines Tuesday morning.

Around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday morning a SUV heading east left the roadway on a curve on the west side of Des Moines and travelled through the parking area in front of the Prairie Punk Gallery and through the grassy area west of the Church of Christ where it collided with the building taking out a window and the southeast corner of the church building.

According to a Facebook post by the Union County Sheriff’s office the driver of the SUV fell asleep before the vehicle left highway 64/87.

The driver and passenger of the SUV were transported to Union County General Hospital by Des Moines Ambulance.

Around 2:30 am a Colorado SUV left the roadway on the west side of Des Moines and took out the wall on the west side of the Church of Christ.
This SUV was still inside the Church of Christ in Des Moines Tuesday afternoon after it left the highway on the west side of Des Moines around 2:30 am according to Union County Sheriff’s Department.
