Evelyn June Valdez, age 88, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 8th, 2023. Evelyn was born on April 8th, 1935 in Pecos, New Mexico to Vincent and Lucy Torres.
Evelyn is survived by her five children, Ron Valdez, and Sharon (Jim Rouse Jr.) Valdez, Valorie (Tom) Velasquez, Steve Valdez, and Tim (Tonya) Valdez and her special friend Raymond Lopez of 33 years. She is the loving grandmother to her 26 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Alene Martinez, Gilbert Torres, and Bob (Sue) Romero; numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Vincent Torres; mother, Lucy Torres; stepfather, Fidel Romero; grandchildren, Jeannie Gonzales, Theron Valdez, Aeriel Valdez; daughter-in-law, Terri Valdez; and husband and the father of her children, Nash Valdez.
Rosary will be held at Comi Funeral Home on Monday, July 17th, 2023 at 9 am, with the Funeral Services following at Faith Christian Fellowship Church at 10 am.
Inurnment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
