In Loving Memory of Mary Jo Walton Armijo

Mary Jo Walton Armijo, was called to be with the Lord on June 12, 2023, in Albuquerque, New Mexico from natural causes. At the age of 65.

MaryJo was born on August 3, 1957, in Raton, New Mexico. She was a graduate from Raton High School and spent most of her life working for her parent at the Sugarite Ski Lodge until the closing of the Lodge. Mary Jo met Jerry, shared 44 years of marriage, and had two beautiful children Brittany and Matthew. Mary Jo was a stay-at-home mom and felt her biggest accomplishment was seeing them grow up in all their success. Mary Jo loved watching her two children grow up, traveling, swimming with Brittany, long walks in nature, being surrounded by plants, and going to eat lunch, and visiting with the people at the senior citizens center.

Mary Jo is proceeded in death by her parents Millard and Labelle Walton, Aunties Jennie Pasquale, and Theresa Beard, Uncles Steiner Pacetti, and Boach Pacetti, Brothers Richard Beard, and James Beard, sisters Linda Bogel, and Lynette Wesselhoft, In-Laws Robert, and Sally Armijo bother in law Freddie Armijo and Paul Smith.

She is survived by her Husband Jerry Armijo, children Brittany Armijo of Albuquerque, and Matthew and wife Jamie of Clayton three grandchildren Emery, Kade, and Luke who she loved dearly. Sister Shirley Berry and Morgan Walton, Sisters in law Pauline Hillard and husband Allan, Corina Cortez, and husband Frank, Celina Mascarenas and husband Jake, Roberta Mondragon and husband Greg, and Barbara Duran and husband John and brother-in-law Eddie Armijo and wife Monica, Special Friend Eva Chavez, Sheila Krulyac, Marisa Aguirre, Larry Gallegos, and countless others friends.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 1, 2023, at 10:00 am at the Lighthouse Church in Raton, NM.
