On May 10th, 2023, Retired First Sergeant, 82nd Airborne, Paul “Pablo

J. Sisneros was called to Heaven at the age of 84. First Sgt. Sisneros was born on June 1st, 1938 in Las Vegas, NM. In 1956, he joined the United States Anny and proudly served his country for 22 years. A veteran of the Vietnam War, heĀ was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. After retiring from the military, Paul joined the coal mines, spending most of those years with York Canyon.

Paul was a brave and loyal soldier, as well as a kind and loving father, grandfather, uncle, brother, son, and godfather. In 1964, he married Lena Casias and had four children. More than anything, Paul cherished his family and will be lovingly remembered by his children Michael (Christina), Tina (Russell), Rosalie (Rod), and Paul, Jr. (Christine), and his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Marcelina Sisneros, his siblings, Tony (Patsy) Sisneros, Jenny Sisneros, Gilbert “Chico” Sisneros, and Virginia (Elfego) Garcia, as well as his loving wife, Lena Sisneros, and in-laws, Raymond and Rose Casias. He is survived by his siblings, Carlos (Ethel Mae) Sisneros, Joe (Martha) Sisneros, and Elma (Joe) Trujillo, and by his children and grandchildren.

Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary for Retired First Sergeant Paul Sisneros will be held on June 27th, 2023 at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Springer, NM at 9:30 am recited by the Knights of Columbus followed by the Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Trieu as the Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warrior Project on behalf of Paul are appreciated.

Funeral Arrangements for Paul “Pablo” J. Sisneros are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
