In Loving memory of Philip Lopez

Philip Lopez Passed away on May 25th, 2023

peacefully at home surrounded by his family, He was 36 years old.

He was born to Gibert Lopez Jr and Shirley Lopez on April 19th, 1987, in Raton N.M. He enjoyed life to the fullest, he loved going on rides and enjoying the mountains views, and he loved helping people out in need. He enjoyed working and cooking at Lee’s BBQ for Frank Mattorano who he called Pops. Before that, out of high school, he helped US Disposal, whom he threw trash with his older brother Carlos. He enjoyed gardening and being outside with friends and family watching the things that he planted grow. He would be so happy to send pictures of his crops that would grow so big and beautiful. Everybody who knew him well knew he loved to joke around and call u at odd hours and ask what’s up brother he was just that kind of guy. He spends most of his time with his two other brothers Gilbert and David talking about the good times they had growing up and messing around with their mom Shirley. In proceeding of his death are Gilbert Lopez Jr his daddy, Grandpa Gilbert Lopez Sr., Grandpa William and Grandma Cora Santistevan, Aunties Mary Alice, Marie, Theresa, Uncles Johnny, Richard, Dan, Cousins Rickey, Little Toni Philip is survived by his mother Shirley Lopez, Gilbert Anthony Lopez, Carlos (Mona) Lopez, and David (Shantay)Lopez, Grandma Arcilla Lopez, Uncles Eddie (Michelle) Lopez, Kenny (Sudathip)Lopez, Tom (Kathy) Santistevan, Jose Santistevan, Jimmy (Marcella) Santistevan, Aunties Carla (Greg) Cook, Evelyn Baker, Janet Lopez, Sandra Ortega, Virginia Hernandez, Mary Guillen, Lucille Llaguno, Ruby Santistevan, Mary and Carolina. His children are Philip Lopez jr and Raela Lopez. Philip had many nieces and nephews Carlos Lopez jr (CJ), Shiloh Lopez, Reggie Salazar, Gilbert Lopez jr, Ryann Lopez, Little Gil Lopez, Little Davey Lopez jr, T’Nias, and Cassius Lopez. Also, his good friend Grace Lovato who stood by his side

Honorary Pallbearers are Shiloh Lopez, Danielle Garcia, Andrea Santistevan, Jamie Lopez, Lori Santistevan

Visitation will be on Monday, June 5th, 2023, from 3-6 at Comi Chapel Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 6th, 2023, at First Christian Church at 10 a.m. after the services we will lay Philip to rest in Raton N.M. at Fairmont Cemetery the address is 1234 Dwyer Avenue.
