Public meeting scheduled for Eagle Nest Lake State Park Draft Management Plan

Santa Fe, NM – The State Parks Division of the Energy, Minerals, and Natural Resources Department (ENMRD) announces a public meeting to review the Draft Management Plan (Plan) for Eagle Nest Lake State Park in Colfax County.

The public is invited to provide input and feedback on the Plan, which is designed to provide guidance on the management and development of Eagle Nest Lake State Park over a five-year period. The Plan is available for review in advance at the Eagle Nest Lake State Park Visitors Center or on the ENMRD State Parks website athttps://www.emnrd.nm.gov/spd/park-plans/.

Plans support short- and long-range park and program development, and function as a:

  • Tool to guide administration, management, and operations;
  • Reference that documents park history, facts, and conditions;
  • Resource for identifying land use within and adjacent to a park’s boundary; and
  • Guide for capital improvements and funding opportunities.
