For Immediate Release: April 11, 2023 – PUBLIC NOTICE
City of Trinidad, Colorado – April 11, 2023 – The Trinidad City Council is
accepting Citizen Interest Forms from citizens within Las Animas County to fill
seats on the Lodging Tax Advisory Board who shall study, investigate, and
advise the City Council as to the development and promulgation of policies for
the implementation, support, and use of revenues derived from lodging tax
revenues. The Board may also advise on other policy-related matters related to
tourism as requested from time to time by the City Council.
• In order to be considered eligible to serve individuals must be a resident of
Las Animas and have resided within the County for not less than one year
immediately preceding appointment and must be registered to vote.
• Preference will be given to those individuals with experience in a tourism-related industry. (There are five main tourism sectors of the tourism
industry. These sectors are transportation, accommodation, entertainment
and attractions, food services, and trade associations and regulators.)
Citizen Interest Forms will be accepted at the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall, 135
N. Animas Street or P. O. Box 880, Trinidad, CO 81082, until 12:00 p.m., May 3,
2023.
