Our beloved mother Rose Johnson Guzzo went home to be with our Lord on September 16, 2022. Rose was born on August 21st, 1924. She was 98 years young. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Dan Guzzo. Parents Mary and John Johnson. Brothers- Charles, John, Ben, Gilbert, and AJ Johnson. Sisters Cora Labane and Josephine J. Cruz. She lives on through her daughters Leona (Javier) Izaguirre, Darlene (Tim) Domina, and Cindy Guzzo Blasi. She is also survived by seven grandchildren Francisco (Trina) Izaguirre, Rebecca (Chris) Kelly, Kathleen (Joseph) D’Urso, Christie Domina, Danielle Domina and Chase Lashley, Jessica (Glauco) Lascaris, and Jisel (Matt) Oukrop. Also survived by four great-grandchildren Isabela, Jacob, Sophia, and Lucien. Sisters Carol Risse, and Kelly Leyba, and her brother Richard (Valerie) Johnson, and also numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. How do you begin to describe a person who was timeless? A loving mother, grandmother, sister, and great-grandmother. She lit up every room with her smile and laugh. Rose loved the casino and penny slots. She loved to dance and listen to music. She could create magic with her sewing and cooking. She was ornery and strong. Everyone who met her loved her. Now we ask our dear lord to wrap his arms around our Rosie. So enjoy your cup of coffee in heaven. Until we meet again. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, and you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of life which will be held at the Comi Funeral Home (1804 E Main St, Trinidad, CO 81082) on August 21st, 2023 starting at 10:00 am.
