The Trinidad State College men’s basketball team had a dream season finishing undefeated in Region 9 play to claim the championship for 2023, which meant they were back-to-back champs having won it all last year, too.
The team finished 23 – 8 this season, was 12 – 0 in the Region and had won 19 in a row until losing in the first round of the NJCAA Division 1 Championships 78 – 75 to Tallahasee CC.
The community is invited to join in the celebration and come meet the players and coaches on Monday, March 27 at 4:30 pm at the Mt. Carmel Wellness and Community Center in Ziccardi Hall.
Hors D’Oeuvres, beverages and live music will be a part of the celebration, which is sponsored by Griego Insurance, Phil Long Toyota, and Phil Long Ford of Trinidad and Adpro.
