Robert (Bob) Dale Lucas Jr. passed away peacefully in his home on March 12, 2023. Bob was born January 21, 1951, to Aleta “Sis” Lucas and Robert Lucas Sr. in Lamar, Colorado. Bob moved to Valdez, Colorado when he was 3 years old.
Bob graduated from Primero High School in 1969 and then attended Wyoming Technical Institute. Later earned his Associate from Trinidad State Junior College.
Bob is preceded in death by his dad Robert “Bob” Lucas Sr., nephew Joshua Lucas, sister and brother-in-law Norma (Lucas) John Howlett., and his brother Thomas “Tom” Lucas. Mother in law Jean Wold and sister in law, Ginger Gentry
Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathy Lucas, daughter, Melissa (Lucas) and Shawn Cooper, Yukon, Oklahoma, son, Adam Lucas and Sandy (Rivas) Lucas, Valdez, Colorado, Granddaughters Brittany Cooper and Kelly Rivas, mother “Sis” Lucas, Trinidad, Colorado, sister in law, brother Fred and Lori (Antista) Lucas, brother, Larry Lucas, and Tammy (DeCristino) Lucas, several nephews, nieces, and great nieces and great nephew and many dear friends.
Memorial Services will be held at Comi Funeral Home, Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at 1:00 pm with Pastor Cary Nelson officiating. Those who want to remember Bob may donate to Fisher Peak Soup Kitchen, 300-398 Church Street, Trinidad, Colorado 81082.
Private inurnment will follow at a later date.
