Jane Connie (Arguello) Sandoval, age 77, died on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, in Mosquero, New Mexico.

Rosary will be recited at 1:30 PM on Saturday, March 18, 2023, and Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Mosquero, New Mexico with Fr. Chris Martinez as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Mosquero Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Jane Connie (Arguello) Sandoval was born on May 10, 1945, in Albert, New Mexico to Genoveva (Montano) Arguello. She lived most of her life in the Mosquero area and lived in California for eight years. Jane married Mateo Sandoval, Jr. on February 3, 1962, in Mosquero, New Mexico and he preceded her in death on June 21, 2022. Jane was a babysitter in the Mosquero Community and helped care for and raise over 10 children in the community. She lived for her grandchildren. Jane was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Mosquero. In addition to her mother and husband, Jane was preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters, Elvera Baca, Tillie Archuleta, Victor Arguello, Corrine Baca, Leo Arguello and Sister Marie Carmen Gonzales.

SURVIVORS:

3 DAUGHTERS: Christina Vigil and her husband Ray of Mosquero, New Mexico, Amanda Serrano and her husband Mario of Las Cruces, New Mexico and Roberta Sandoval of Ruidoso, New Mexico.

4 GRANDCHILDREN: Gabriella Vigil and her fiancé Colton Trego of Portales, New Mexico, Mya Vigil of Amarillo, Texas, Annika Serrano and Jacob Serrano both of Las Cruces, New Mexico.

1 Great-Grandchildren: Rhiannon Trego of Portales, New Mexico.

1 SISTER: Annie Bailey of Tucumcari, New Mexico.

2 BROTHERS: Eloy Arguello of Logan, New Mexico and Johnny Arguello of Los Lunas, New Mexico.

2 SISTERS-IN-LAW: Jane Maestas of Springer, New Mexico and Beatrice Baca of Bernalillo, New Mexico.

And numerous nieces and nephews.
