On February 27, 2023, at approximately 5:12 pm Colfax County Sheriff’s office responded to a call of a possible deceased individual west of Raton. On Saturday, March 4, 2023, the Office of The Medical Investigator identified the decedent as Joseph Cordova of Raton, NM. The cause of death is still undetermined; this is being investigated as a suspicious death and is an ongoing investigation.
