Raymond D. Romero

Raymond D. Romero passed away unexpectedly on February 8, 2023. Raymond was born on November 19, 1950, in Raton, New Mexico to John F. and Eva C. Romero.
He graduated from Raton High School and New Mexico State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. He spent most of his life in Raton, New Mexico.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Eva Romero, whom he took care of until their death. He is survived by his siblings Virginia (Eloy) Cordova Mondragon, Victor (Lucy) Romero, Sally (Gerald) Chavez, and Ernest (Ellen) Romero. He is also survived by various nieces and nephews, and several cousins.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick-St. Joseph Catholic Church will be recited by Eloy Mondragon. Mass of the Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. with Father Bill Woytavich as celebrant. Rite of Committal and Internment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
