In Loving Memory of Mike Garcia

Mike Garcia

( July 27, 1949 – February 16, 2023 )

Mike Garcia, Jr. (Taco) gained his wings on February 16, 2023.  He passed away peacefully at home at the age of 73.  I’m positive the 1st words out of his mouth once he reached heaven was “What do ya think now?!”

Mike was a good man and was well-liked by anyone who knew him.  Everything he did he did with passion.

Mike was a die-hard Denver Bronco fan, even when they lost, he simply cussed up a storm.  He love the Colorado Rockies and truly loved watching any sport on T.V., drinking beer, and eating pizza with Ed.

Mike served in the Air Force and was honorably discharged after serving in Vietnam in 1971.  He retired from the Burlington (Santa Fe) Railroad in 2014.  He made many lifelong friends along the way.

He loved to hunt birds, and fish and in his younger days it was baseball, skiing, and golf.  He loved dogs, his family, and his friends with every ounce of him.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents; Miguel Sr. and Lorraine Garcia, Ida Mascarenas, and Jason Sisneros.

He is survived by children; Laurie Sisneros, Bradley (Carmen) Sisneros, and Michael Amparan. 11 grandchildren; Lance (Alysa), Max, Christian, Sheyenne, Jayce, Jadin, Lacey, Dalley, Luke, Rylan, and Destry, and 5 great-grandchildren; Selene, Gage, Luna, Tomi Lei and Sonny all of Raton, NM., Cousins; Kathy Runyon and Cynthia Kent-Mills of Santa Cruz CA. Many friends in life; Ed, Nora, Rob, Mike and Linda, Oscar, Mike, Ron, Tim, and Wayne. Angela, Eddie, Chuck, Kevin, and many many more.
