Linda Narine Johnson, age 57, of Trinidad, Colorado, passed away on January 28th, 2023. Linda was a beloved and active member of her church community, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Linda was born in Mayaro in Trinidad and Tobago to Subrattan Mohammed and Ramdass Narine. She is the youngest of their seven children. She came to the United States in 1987 to be a nanny and later became a citizen in the early 2000s. She married Daniel (Dan) Johnson on December 31st, 1990 in Bedford, Texas at St. Michaels Catholic Church. Linda and Dan made a life for themselves in North Texas and raised their two sons, Rodney and Andy Johnson, in the area.
Linda moved to Trinidad, Colorado in 2017 where she quickly became part of the community. She was a very active member of her community, at her church, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and she was a volunteer at the local soup kitchen.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Lewis Johnson on November 27th, 2010. She is survived by her oldest son Rodney James Johnson and his wife Gracie Faye Johnson and their daughter Amelia Marie Johnson, and her youngest son Andy Daniel Johnson and his wife Giovanna Gabriela Johnson.
A memorial service will be held in Trinidad, Colorado at Comi Funeral Home on Friday, February 3rd, 2023 at 10 am.
