It is with great sorrow that we announce Brittany Amber Trujillo, also known as Brit, Brat, or DQ, 29, from Raton, NM, has passed away in her home on November 17th, 2022.
Brittany Trujillo was born on June 4th, 1993 in Raton, NM. Brittany was raised for the majority of her life by her father, “Bernard, along with her grandparents Julie and Bernie Trujillo. In her teens, Brittany lived with her cousin Debbie, Kenny, and Billy Martinez from Cimarron.
Brittany attended Raton Public Schools. In her youth, Brittany participated in Little League All-Stars Softball, RMS Cheerleading, and basketball; She loved to play golf with her Papo and Dad; basketball in the backyard with her sister Meagan and lifelong friend Jeremy Pacheco who she called “brother”. Trips to Sonic with her Nana Julie were her favorite. In the last few years of her life, Brittany had developed a special talent for gardening, art, fixing broken items, and making Disney clay miniatures.
Brittany was a kind and bubbly soul. She had a positive attitude towards life with her charismatic charm. She would brighten up the room with laughter and goofy humor. She was smart, loyal, and fun to be around. We are blessed to have spent so many years with Brittany considering her medical condition. Her last couple years of life, she leaned heavily on her parents Bernard and Tina, her Nana Julie, and her step-siblings Alee and DJ. They had become closer than ever.
Brittany is preceded in death by her papo, Bernie Trujillo, and survived by her two children, Angelyssa and Zachary Gonzales; Her Father Bernard Trujillo, stepmother Tina Bird, two sisters, Isis Trujillo and Meagan Vanderpool; stepsiblings, Alee Bird and D.J Bird. Nieces and nephews Elaina, Luciano, Natali, and Enzo. Grandparent, Nana Julie Trujillo, Uncles Christopher and PJ Trujillo along with her Aunties Sarah, Amy, and Gerette; Cousins, Allie, Hugo, Iban, Jake, Luke, and many more numerous friends and family.
The memorial service honoring Brittany will be held on February 4th, 2023, at 11 am, at Mesa Church (917 S 2nd St, Raton, NM 87740). A reception will follow the memorial services.
So so sorry for your loss, I miss seeing her come into supersave and telling me about all these healthy drinks and eats she grew from her garden 😢
