Frances Green

Frances Green, age 90, died on Monday, January 2, 2023, at her home in Des Moines, New Mexico.
A memorial Rosary and Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at a later date at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Des Moines, New Mexico and burial will follow in the Des Moines Cemetery. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.
Frances Green was born on September 7, 1932, in Trinidad, Colorado to Jim Raimondi and Angelina (Pecarro) Raimondi. Frances married Roy Green on August 27, 1947, and he preceded her in death on March 13, 2010. They lived in several places before they settled in Des Moines, New Mexico in 1966. Frances drove a school bus and worked as a cook for the Des Moines School for several years, she owned and operated her own restaurant and later ran the Sierra Grande Restaurant when it first opened. She worked as a bookkeeper and worked for the propane company in Des Moines and was the Des Moines Village Clerk. Frances was passionate about cooking and was a wonderful cook. She was proud of her Italian heritage. Her holiday cooking and baking and her Angel food birthday cakes that she made for all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren on their birthdays were wonderful traditions that will be greatly missed. Frances was a devout catholic and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Des Moines. In addition to her parents and husband, Frances was preceded in death by 3 siblings, Nettie Saddoris, George Raimondi, and Anne Conder. Her family would like to offer a special thank you to Robin Pilley and to Dr. Leo Lopez and all his staff.

3 CHILDREN: Roy Lynn Green and his wife Tami, Pam Sorensen, and her husband Roger and Ron Green all of Des Moines, New Mexico.
3 GRANDDAUGHTERS: Scarlett First and her husband Jeff, Audrey Guerrero and her husband Antoine, and Samantha Escobar and her husband Jr.
GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Evie, Maddie, Jarrett, Sophia, Asa, Kory, Estevan, Natalia, and one on the way.
