Cecilia Garcia, age 68, died on Sunday, January 1, 2023, in Clayton, New Mexico.

Rosary will be recited at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 5, 2023, and Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM following the Rosary at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton with Fr. Benoit as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery in Clayton, New Mexico by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Cecilia (Craine) Garcia was born on January 19, 1954, in Clayton, New Mexico to Juan Craine and Quirina (Gutierrez) Craine. Cecilia was a lifelong resident of Clayton, New Mexico. She married Fred T. Garcia, Sr. on in Clayton, New Mexico. Cecilia worked for Loves, for the Clayton Public Schools and for Union County General Hospital. Cecilia loved her grandchildren, and she loved butterflies. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton. In addition to his parents, Cecilia was preceded in death by a son, T. J. Garcia, by 2 brothers, Jose Sepriano Craine and Ernesto “Hoss” Craine, by a sister, Gloria Craine.

HUSBAND: Fred Garcia of Clayton, New Mexico.

1 DAUGHTER: Quirina Wolf and her husband Adam of Clayton, New Mexico.

1 SON: Juan Garcia and his wife Lena of Longmont, Colorado.

3 GRANDCHILDREN: Xavier Garcia and Aidan Garcia both of Longmont, Colorado and Saige Wolf of Clayton, New Mexico.

2 BROTHERS: Jose C. Craine of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Sam Craine of Clayton, New Mexico.

1 BROTHER-IN-LAW: Frank Garcia of Clayton, New Mexico.

1 SISTER-IN-LAW: Ophelia Miera of Belen, New Mexico.

Several nieces and nephews including, Jory J. Craine, Nick Craine and his wife Jennifer, Carlos Craine and his wife Sylvia, Eric Craine, Salomon Craine and his wife Christine, Angela Winters and her husband Steve, Deidia Garcia, Julian Craine and his wife Yvonne, Felicia Miera, Arnold Miera and his wife Melissa, Carlos Miera and Albert Garcia and his wife Farah.

MEMORIALS: The family asks that memorials be made in Cecilia’s memory to the Union County General Hospital, 300 Wilson Street, Clayton, New Mexico 88415.
