In Loving Memory of Fred Silva

It is with great sadness and peace that we announce the loss of Fred Silva on December 11th, 2022, where he was surrounded by his daughters, family, and friends. Fred was known as a father, friend, uncle, and brother.

Fred was born on March 23, 1968, to the late Tom and Carrie Silva in Raton, NM. He was the youngest of six children and is proceed in death by his grandparents, parents, brother Ronnie Silva and four-legged best friend Khloe.

A 1986 Raton High School graduate, Fred had a passion for playing the drums, acoustic guitar, and electric guitar. You would find him strumming his guitar on the couch playing heavy metal, and classic rock, and making songs up to make the kids laugh. Fred’s love for the LA Rams was pretty close to the love he had for his daughters, most of his wardrobe was LA Rams attire. His caring heart always had him checking in on his sister Kathy and brother Danny to make sure they had what they needed from day to day. Fred was truly a kid at heart, so all his nieces, nephews and now great-nieces and nephews loved when Uncle Freddie was around to play and entertain them. His seat was always reserved at the kids’ table for holiday dinner functions. He loved his two girls, Sydni and Shelbi very much, he always knew how to make them smile and laugh until they were in tears.  Fred will always be remembered for being a funny guy with a warm heart.

He is survived by his two beautiful daughters, Sydni Jaymes Silva and Shelbi Thomas Silva both of Pueblo CO. Siblings: Danny Silva, Michael Silva, Tommy Silva, and Kathy Cordova. His best friend Bernard Trujillo who was always there for Fred. Four-legged best friend Lucky. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews, Fred had a special love for his nieces Desi and Teena and Goddaughter Danette who always checked on him.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Raton Humane Society.
