ROGERS, AUDREY
Audrey Rogers, 95, passed away on July 25, 2022, in Littleton, Colorado. Born and raised in Raton, Audrey was the youngest child of Joseph and Mary (Unsworth) McCallister. She graduated from Raton High School (Class of 1943) and married her high school sweetheart, Wayne Rogers (Class of 1941), on June 5, 1943. They enjoyed 65 years of marriage before Wayne passed away in 2008.
Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Maxine Redd, and brother Joseph “Butch” McCallister. She is survived by her children, Sheryn Rogers Sears (Duane), Charles Allen Rogers (Margaret), and Susan Rogers Kark (Robert); six grandchildren, Rebecca Sears, David Sears (Kari), Anna Rogers (Alan “A.J.” Johnson), Katie Margolis (Noah), Bruno Kark, and Clay Kark; and six great-grandchildren, Maya and Llewyn Sears, Aubrey and Leif Johnson, Ruby Fjeld, and Olivia Kark.
Private committal took place at a service for immediate family conducted by Chaplain Shari Otteman at Denver’s Fort Logan National Cemetery, where Audrey’s ashes were buried with her beloved husband of 65 years.
