In Loving Memory of Nettie Marie Glorioso

Nettie Glorioso, age 95,  passed away on October 22, 2022, at Mount Saint Francis Nursing Center, Colorado Springs, CO

She was born on December 29, 1926,  in  Valdez, CO to parents Rosalie and Salvatore Garbo.

She attended Primero High School, graduating in 1944.

On   June 25, 1950, Nettie was united in marriage to Steve Glorioso at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Trinidad, CO

Nettie was a humble, compassionate and genuine woman that dedicated her life to being a selfless wife, mother, and Nana.  She gave the ultimate gift of life to her children.  She unconditionally loved them as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and family.

She made a warmhearted lasting impression on each person she met.  Anyone she befriended was a friend for life and grateful for their friendship.

As an amazing cook all were invited to her table.  She seemed to have an endless pot of chicken soup.

She was passionate about sewing.  Nettie sewed robes for each of liturgical seasons for the Infant of Prague statue at Our Lady Mount Carmel Church.  Every loving stitch was a prayer.  Nettie was unwavering and devoted to her Catholic faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Glorioso, 2000, Daughter, Rosalie Ellie, 2021,

her parents, brothers, and sisters,

She was the last living member of her family.

Survivors are Son – Charles and Lisa Glorioso (Trinidad, CO)

Daughter – Charlene and Anthony Verderaime (Colorado Springs, CO)

Son-In-Law – Lonnie Elley (Pueblo, CO)

Eight  grandchildren – Michael (Kacey) Verderaime,  Salida, CO; Steven ( Amanda) Verderaime, Colorado Springs, CO;  Carl (Jessi) Elley, Pueblo CO; Lonnie Marie (Dan) Obluda, Fort Collins, CO; Zach Glorioso, Colorado Springs, CO; Giana Glorioso, Alyssa Glorioso, and Adriana Glorioso, Trinidad, CO

Seven great grandchildren – Salvatore, Enzo, and Giovanni, Verderaime; Sophia and Santino Verderaime; Samuel and Emalee Elley.

Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 3, 2022, at the Comi Chapel from 3 pm-6 pm.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Friday, November 4th at 10:00 A.M.

Entombment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.

 Active pallbearers are Michael Verderaime, Steven Verderaime, Carl Elley, Zach Glorioso

Daniel Noel and Dan Obluda .

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Holy Trinity Catholic Church Restoration Fund.

Arrangements were made under the direction of the Comi  Funeral Home.
