Fidencio Marelas Vital, age 88, died on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, in Farmington, New Mexico.

Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM on Friday, October 21st and Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 21st following the Rosary at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton with Fr. Joseph Baltz as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Fidencio Marelas Vital was born on November 17, 1933, in Atotonilco, Zacatecas, Mexico to Adrian Vital and Petra (Marelas) Vital. He married Maria Dolores (Fuentas) Vital on June 5, 1955, in Nieves, Zacatecas, Mexico and she preceded him in death on October 6, 2022. They migrated to the United States in the 1970’s to give their family a better life. They lived in Clayton, New Mexico for many years and later moved to Aztec New Mexico. In addition to his wife and parents, Fidencio was preceded in death by a brother, Julio Vital and a sister, Marciella Vital.

SURVIVORS:

2 DAUGHTERS: Marylou Maldonado and Jose of Stratford, Texas and Francisca Vital and Barthasar Hernandez of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

4 SONS: Misael Vital and Elvera of Bloomfield, New Mexico, Joe Fidencio Vital and Gabby of Aztec, New Mexico, Joe Louis Vital and Janet of Virginia and Pete Vital and Caroline of Los Lunas, New Mexico.

22 Grandchildren, 46 Great-Grandchildren, 15 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

1 SISTER: Maria Louisa Vital Ayala of Zacatecas, Mexico.

1 BROTHER: Fidel Vital of Juarez, Mexico.

And numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
