The Lady Tigers (4-8) hosted the Santa Fe Prep Lady Blue Griffins (4-9) Saturday afternoon October 8, 2022 for a district match in Tiger Gym and took the match in three with a third game barn burner.
The JV match went three games as both team won a game and had the tie breaker for the win. Game one saw a seesaw game with a tie several times all the way up to 22. Prep finally pulled the game out. In game two it was all Raton as the Lady Tigers took the early lead and spread it out with a a13 point win. In the tie breaker it was a close one with a tie at eight before Raton put on the heat and held Santa Fe Prep scoreless for the rest of the game for a seven point win.

The varsity match saw Raton play a strong game at the net but continued to have that one mistake that would cost them. In game one it was close up to a tie at 14. From there Raton took the lead and managed to hold Prep down the rest of the game and pull out a seven point win.
Game two saw the Lady Blue Griffins fall apart as Raton took a 11-2 lead and never looked back with a 13 point win.
Game three became the game of games as Raton took a 12-7 lead and then tied at 12 with Prep taking the lead. Raton battled back for a tie at 19. Raton took a four point lead and let Prep come back with a tie at 24. The game was tied at 25 and 26 when Raton managed to take the lead and a couple of bad plays by Prep lead to the Raton win.
