Louis “Louie” Yob, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, in Littleton, Colorado. He was born on May 15, 1939, in Raton, New Mexico, the son of Peter Yob, Sr. and Silvia Bertol Yob.
Louie graduated from Raton High School in 1957. After graduation, Louie enlisted in the United States Air Force, making that his career choice. He retired in 1977 with the rank of Tech Sergeant.
Louie is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Vinco Yob and his wife, Marie Galli Yob; sister, Annie Yob Martin and her husband, Red Martin; sister, Lena Yob Musso and her husband, Charles Musso; sister Bruna Yob Voegele and her husband, Jerry Voegele; and brother, Peter Yob, Jr. and his wife, Alice Coleman Yob. He is also preceded in death by nephews Vinco Yob, Jr. and Robert “Bob” Voegele, and niece, Sharon Yob Vigil.
Louie is survived by his wife, Barbara; son Louis Peter and his wife, Lillian of Virginia; daughter, Nancy of Maryland, and son, Kevin of Colorado. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Julia and Laura, and his younger brother Albert and his wife, Nan, of New London, Wisconsin, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Services for Louis Yob will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at the Horan & McConaty Mortuary located at 5303 East County Line Road in Centennial, Colorado, at 11:00 AM. A reception will follow the services. Burial will follow at the Fort Logan Cemetery.
