Rodney J. Apodaca, 57 from Fountain, Colorado passed away on August 18, 2022, at Memorial Central Hospital in Colorado Springs. He was born March 20, 1965, in Raton New Mexico to Susie and Manuel Apodaca. He is preceded in death by his father Manuel Apodaca, brother Robert Apodaca and grandparents John and Theresa Rivera and Matias & Isabel Apodaca.
He is survived by his mother Susie Apodaca of Raton, NM, his sister Cheryl Apodaca of Fountain, CO., his dog Gracie, Aunts, Uncles, and numerous cousins and friends.
Rodney graduated from Raton High School in 1983 and attended Trinidad State Junior College and Eastern New Mexico University before landing in Albuquerque, He worked for the New Mexico Department of Transportation for 25 years and then retired in Fountain CO about 10 years ago.
Rodney was a kind and gentle soul and would help anybody. He loved all music, racing, and building things. He thought about the world of all the family and enjoyed going to family reunions as well as hosting them.

Mass of Christian Burial will be September 30, 2022, at St. Patrick’s/St. Josephs’s Catholic Church at 11:00 AM followed by inurnment at Fairmont Cemetery.
