In Loving Memory of Agnes Rose (Apodaca) Mejia

Agnes Rose (Apodaca) Mejia passed away at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs on July 20th, 2022. Agnes was a 69-year-old, free-spirited, loving person who lived her life to the fullest. Agnes is preceded in death by her son, Robert J. ‘Bobby’ Mejia, and her husband Robert E. ‘Bob’ Mejia. Bob and Agnes are also preceded in death by their mothers Irene Chavez and Virginia Apodaca, and Bob’s brothers Florentino Mejia, Manuel Mejia, Richard Mejia, and Johnny Mejia.

Agnes and Bob are survived by children Stephen and Nichole Mejia and Daughter-in-law Jennifer Mejia. Grandchildren Ashley R. Gonzales, Robert J Mejia Jr. (Lori Abeyta), Cheyenne Mejia (Rick Maldonado), Antonio ‘Tony’ Mejia, Izabella ‘Bella’, and Camilla ‘Mia’ Gamboa. Great grandchildren, Joseph, Kurt, Carson Gonzales, and Zoey Mejia. Siblings, Joe (Alice) Mejia and Kathy (Robert) Sandoval. As well as godchildren between the two, Gilbert P Velasco  Jr, Angel E. Mejia, Adrianna Abeyta, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins/relatives.

Bob passed away on November 15, 2015, at 70.  He served in the US Army during the Vietnam war, his service dates were 1966, 1967 & 1968. He later met Agnes and in 1975 they started their family. Right around 1987 they moved to Trinidad CO (Agnes’s hometown) where they resided and raised their 3 children. Their lives will be celebrated together on Friday, September 2, 2022, at 1 o’clock at Comi Funeral Home with Brother Harry officiating.

Private interment will be at a later date.

Arrangements were made under the direction of the Comi Funeral Home.
