Adelia E. Fernandez of Cimarron NM, gained her Angel Wings on August 1, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Adelia was born in Ocate, NM on April 29, 1927, to Juan Albino Duran and Juanita Lucero Duran.
Adelia was married to Santiago (Jim) Fernandez on July 15, 1946. They were Blessed with 12 children, of which 5 are deceased.
She was preceded in death by her husband Santiago (Jim) of 45 years, son Jimmy Jr., grandsons Paul Fernandez and Damian Pacheco and great-granddaughter Bristalle Mondragon, and son-in-law Joe Martinez. Brothers; Anselmo and Manuel Duran. Sisters; Elsie Lovato, Clorinda Rubin, and Sadie Duran. She was survived by her children: Sons; Sammy Fernandez of Cimarron, Leroy Fernandez of Cimarron, and companion Jackie Archuleta of Springer. Daughters; Mary Ann Martinez of Cimarron, Lillian Pacheco (Henry) Dorothy Chavez and husband David, and Veronica Montoya and husband Steve all from Las Vegas, NM., 20 Grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Brothers; Juan A. Duran and wife Gloria, Tim Duran, and Steve Duran. Sisters Caroline Arquello, Cecilia Duran and husband Bronson and Daughter-in-law Sue Fernandez of Florida, and many nephews and nieces.
Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary will be Thursday, August 11, 2022, at 10:00 AM at the Sister Hildegard Parish Hall, recited by Patsy Zamora. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at 10:30 AM at the Sister Hildegard Parish Hall with Father Trieu as the Celebrant. Internment will follow at the Mount View Cemetery.
