Emanuel Ricardo Gonzales Jr. also known as Rick Gonzales, of Raton, passed away on June 26, 2022. Rick was born May 1, 1951, to Pat and Hap Gonzales also from Raton. Rick graduated from RHS in 1969 and served his country as a Marine from 1969-1973. Rick is survived by his children Jeremy Gonzales, Portland Oregon, Derek Gonzales, Seattle Washington, Carla Martin, Center Texas, and three grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Nancy Potts (Clyde), Dallas Texas, and Debbie Yob, Tucson Arizona, and Multiple nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces. Preceded in death by his wife Bobbi, parents Pat and Hap Gonzales, and brother Michel and sister Linda. Rick was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved to camp and just explore the outdoors. In his later years, he moved to Raton to care for his dad. After Hap’s passing Rick and best Buddy Dori the pit bull stayed in Raton and took every day to go on an adventure. Rick will be missed. A celebration of life will be Tuesday morning (10 am) at Lake Maloya. A favorite place of Ricks. We would love for you to join us. Come fish, bring a picnic lunch, and kayak.
