Betty Louise Kropf Fager went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 12th, 2022.
Betty was born to Addie and Martha Kropf on March 7th, 1929, in Capulin NM. She went to school in Capulin and graduated from Des Moines High School. On September 13, 1947, she married Loren V Fager.
In 1964 They Bought Capulin Grocery Store in Capulin NM where she and her children ran the store, while Loren worked as a Carpenter in Raton.
In 1973 they sold the store and moved back to Raton. She worked at JC Penny’s and Spouse Reits until retiring in 1989
Betty was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church in Raton where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was a member of the MCMC Auxiliary for 30 years volunteering at the thrift shop.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Loren in 1987, Her Two Parents, and three grandchildren Chester Crist, Tyler Lane, and Ian Mascarenas. And 6 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by Two Sisters Naida Munden – Raton and Linda Foster – from Las Vegas Nevada. Five children Kathryn Skinner Raton, Marilyn Hopkins – Jim Granite OK, Dixie Frazier – Kennion (deceased) Cody WY, Jacque Stephens – Mike, Quinlan TX, and one son Martin A Fager (Andy). Raton
Also Surviving are seven Grand Children Rena Brown – Daryl, Nathan Yardis, Dixie Williams- Leland- (Deceased), Kenya Stewart – Russell, Jalie Mineake – Greg, Michaela Pettit – Mark, Isa Lane –Joe, 32 Great Grand Children, 21 Great Great Grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 28th at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church in Raton with Pastor Cory Flanigan Officiating.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Baptist Church in Raton or the MCMC Hospital Auxiliary.
Arrangements for Betty Fager are under the direction of the Alderette – Pomeroy Funeral Home.
