In Loving Memory of Samuel Carpio Jr.

Samuel Carpio Jr.

Retired coal miner at the Elk and Golden Eagle in Trinidad, CO, and Vietnam Veteran, went to be with the Lord on May 1st, 2022.

Sam is survived by his wife Nancy E. Carpio, his sons, Adam Carpio, James Carpio, Matt Carpio, and daughter Yvonne Carpio; grandchildren Tyler Newman, Kayla Carpio, and Carson Carpio. He is proceeded in death by his son Roman Justin, his parents; Samuel Carpio Sr. and Eva Ortega Carpio.

Sam was born in El Paso, Texas, and went to school at Jefferson H.S. On August 9th, 1969, he married his sweetheart Nancy and on February 16, 1970, he welcomed his first son Adam and began his family.

Sam was a loving father and grandfather who truly loved his family. He loved the Lord and played bass at church for many years. He loved restoring old vehicles, fishing, playing basketball, and camping. He loved his Denver Broncos, Rockies, and Nuggets.

He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 13, 2022, at 2 PM at the Comi Funeral Chapel with Reverend Kim Pittman officiating. Private inurnment to be held at a later date Arrangements made under the direction of the Comi Funeral Home.
