Joseph “Joe V” Ezekiel Vigil IV passed away on April 29th, 2020 at the age of 45, in his hometown of Trinidad, Colorado. He was born to Julie & Junie-boy Vigil on July 22nd, 1974.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Joe. He loved spending time with his family and friends and had an uncanny ability to find happiness in his daily activities. His pleasant personality was contagious to everyone he met. Outside of spending time with his family and friends, Joe had a passion for gambling, fishing, watching his shows, playing chess, attending sporting events, and caring for his dog Isabeau. He touched many lives with his generosity and passion for life.
Joe is survived by his mother Julie Vigil; sister Chantelle (Vince) Santistevan; mother of his children Vanessa Garcia; his three children Joseph, Isiah, and Aaliyah; his nephews Vince, Thaddeus, and Collier; along with grandparents Nancy (Gilbert) Abeyta; & many other family members.
He was predeceased by his father Junie-boy; grandparents Orlinda (Zeke) Vigil; great grandparents Mary (Nester) Martinez; niece Junie Julissa; cousin Crystal Trujillo; cousin Jolene Romero, and Tom Damrell.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church will be Friday, April 29th, 2022 at 10 AM.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life gathering at Flo Jo’s Tavern afterward.
Arrangements were made under the direction of the Comi Funeral Home.
