In Loving Memory of Evangeline “Vangie” T. Garcia

Our precious mother, Evangeline “Vangie” T. Garcia, left this earthly realm Thursday, April 14, 2022, after a lengthy illness.  She was born on May 28, 1929, in Segundo, Colorado, to Victor and Eutemia Alarid.
Vangie was immensely proud of her family and leaves us all with beautiful memories.  She is survived by four of her six children who made up her world, including son David F. Garcia and daughters Sally (Jerry) Cecil, Patty Garcia, and Ursula Velarde. Other survivors include her grandchildren Patrick Eppler, Fred (Ana) Bantin, Franz Bantin, Tony (Ashley) Eppler,  Geoffrey (Jennifer) Eppler, Veronica Garcia, Kristina (Jay Brouilette) Garcia, Gina (Greg Rivas) Mantelli, and Bryan (Shelly Cusimano) Mantelli, and great-grandchildren Jon M. Palma, Abigail Bantin, Katrina Bantin, Izzy Bantin, Kylea Bantin, Amaya  Eppler, Carter Eppler, Davin Eppler, Aiden Eppler, Geoffrey Eppler, Tori Garcia, Taylor Garcia, Cameron Arceneaux, John Trujillo, Skylar Trujillo, Aiden Rivas, Alex Mantelli, and Sophia Mantelli.
Vangie was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and one sister, sons Michael C. Zuniga and Kenneth A. Garcia, daughter-in-law Blu Garcia, and grandson, Karl Bantin III.
Rosary and Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Thursday, April 21, 2022. Rosary will commence at 12:30 p.m. and Mass at 1 p.m.followed by graveside services at Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
Active Pall Bearers are Jerry Cecil, Raul Velarde, Salvey Velarde and Diego Duran.
