It was a blustery cold Wednesday (March 23) afternoon at Gabrielle Field as the Tigers hosted the traveling Rams from Sheridan High School just outside Denver.

The Rams made the rounds playing Taos (5-15) on Monday, West Las Vegas (3-15) on Tuesday then stopping in Raton on Wednesday for the final game of the road trip where the Tigers bested the Rams 5-17. The game was tied at three and again at five before a nine run rally in the fourth inning gave Raton a 17-5 lead.

Pitcher Trea Ortega went the distance picking off two base runners at first to aid in the win. Trea also managed to strikeout five batters while only walking one and sending one by error.

Christopher Cordova went three innings before giving it up to Xavier Montoya to finish the game for the Rams. Cordova sent one batter to first on error in the first inning. Sheridan pitchers walked six Raton batters during the game.
