In Loving Memory of Richard T Baca

Richard T Baca was known by most as “Chief” passed away unexpectedly in his home on February 6, 2022. He was born on August 11th, 1959, in Trinidad Colorado to Richard and Nadine Baca. “Chief” attended Pueblo and Trinidad area schools graduating from Trinidad High School in 1979. He loved music, especially Pink Floyd, fly fishing, cooking, playing sports, and being outdoors with his family and friends. He met the love of his life, Virginia, at 8 years old ultimately making her his in 1985. Together they proudly raised 6 children, attended many concerts, and enjoyed taking their children to numerous places making memories. “Chief” was so proud of the family he and Virginia created and will be greatly missed.

Richard “Chief” is proceeded in death by his son Jesse, his father Richard, sisters May and Anna, brother Filbert as well as numerous family and friends.

Richard “Chief” is survived by his wife Virginia, mother Nadine, his children Heather(Brandon) Baca, Rickilynn(Robert) Sanchez, Richard(Olivia) Baca, Diane(Robert) Atencio, and Joseph Kiefer, 24 grand-kids Michael, DeAngelo, Jessalynn, Brandon JR, DaShawn, Khailee, Kyrie, Silas, Arabella, Khaliya, Delilah, Richard III, Madison, Jessie, Carlos, Alexis, Soylo, Jacob, Angelo, Jacob, Simion, Ysenia, Elias and Geneva, 4 great grand-kids Xavier, Ashlynn Rae, Azilayah Jo, Tayanna, sister Belle, brother Felix, numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, from 3 pm-7 pm at the Comi Chapel.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, February 11, 2022, at 2 pm at Holy Trinity Church.

Cremation to follow.

Arrangements were made under the direction of the Comi Funeral Home.
