Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Central Time on Friday, January 21, 2022, at the Texline United Methodist Church in Texline, Texas with Rev. Jeff Bayley officiating. Burial will follow in the Texline Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.
JoAnn Qualls was born on May 5, 1936, in Amherst, Texas to John Nix and TheoBelle (Nuttall) Nix. She married Don Qualls on December 27, 1952, in Clovis, New Mexico and he preceded her in death on October 15, 2006. They moved to Texline, Texas, and later to Dalhart, Texas in 1976. JoAnn was a bookkeeper for many years and worked for the bank in Texline and later for the bank in Dalhart. In addition to her parents and husband, Jo Ann was preceded in death by a son as an infant and by a brother, Morris Nix.
SURVIVORS:
2 DAUGHTERS: Cheryl Perschbacher and her husband Roy of Amistad, New Mexico, and Cierra McQuown and her husband Brian of Burbank, California.
2 SONS: Shon Qualls and his wife Karen of Lubbock, Texas, and Carr Qualls and his wife Tina of Valley Center, Kansas.
12 GRANDCHILDREN: Heather Poling and husband Travis, Holli Cantrell and husband Will, Ross Perschbacher and fiancé Sara Davis, Haley Jory and husband Zach, Lindsey Beverlin and husband John, Dalton Qualls, Matthew McQuown, Patrick McQuown, Logan Qualls, Casey Qualls, Anna Belle Qualls, and Jeanie Qualls.
10 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Tucker Poling, Hannah Poling, Wesley Poling, Tyler Poling, Karlee Cantrell, Camryn Cantrell, Connor Jory, Elizabeth Jory, Knox Beverlin, and Jane Beverlin.
2 SISTERS: Jean Hill of Amarillo, Texas, and Johnnie Meeks and her husband Warren of Burwell, Nebraska.
And numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
