In Loving Memory of Tony Vigil

Tony Vigil was called to be with Our Lord on January 4, 2022.  He was preceded in death by his Hunny Mary Josephine (China) Vigil. His mother and father Amalia Chavez and Mike Vigil.

He is survived by his brothers, Mike (Alice) of Miami, Henry (Patsy) of Capitan, Jake (Alice) of Albuquerque, and Dennis (Debra) of Arizona. Brothers-in-law, Tommy Chavez of Redman Oregon; Junior Chavez (Angie), Albert Chavez (Frances), Joseph Chavez (Louise) all of Springer, Deacon Gilbert Chavez of Capitan, Ernie Chavez of Thorton; Sisters-in-law, Stella Aguilar, Patsy (Ballard) Henrie, and Lorraine Quintana all of Springer and Theresa Lopez (Ernie) of Maxwell.

He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Tony and Josie enjoyed traveling together to many places.  He loved camping and going to the casinos.  He was a loving husband, brother, brother-in-law, and friend to many both in Raton and Rio Rancho.

Tony was an active member of the parish and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Patrick- St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Raton recited by the Knights of Columbus, Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 A.M. with Father Bill Woytavich as the celebrant.  Rite of Christian burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Raton.

Arrangements for Tony Vigil are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
