Randy Joe Raught of Las Vegas, New Mexico (formerly of Raton, New Mexico) went to be with our Lord on 12-26-2021 after a lengthy illness. Randy was 59 years old. He earned his GED from Raton High School while serving in the Army National Guard. Randy was also a Golden Glove Champion boxer in the mid ’70s winning numerous trophies. He also worked at La Mesa Park from 1973-1974 with his uncle Joe Mitotes.
Randy was also known for being a sharp dresser and not one hair out of place. He had a style of his own and a love of music. Randy is survived by his daughter Crystal Lee Martinez (Fernando) and one son Randy Joe Raught, Jr. of Raton, three grandsons Fernando Jr. Ortega, Francisco Gabriel Ortega, and Christaval Lee Ortega of Raton, nieces Alexis Fish (Joseph) & Nina Falcon (Dominick), great-nieces Layla & Jo’Leah Fish of Rhode Island, his sister Jeannie Raught Martinez and husband Gerald of Craig, Colorado. Randy was preceded in death by his father Andy Raught, mother Lucy Raught, brother Paul Raught and brother John Mitotes. Cremation has taken place and celebration of life will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Alderette/Pomeroy Funeral Home.
