Rubin was a dedicated Catholic attending and participating in all daily masses and all Holy Days of Obligation. His favorite professional football team was the Buffalo Bills, his professional baseball teams were the New York Yankees and the Athletics, but he was a significant supporter of the Raton Tigers. Rubin enjoyed working out and he walked everywhere he desired to go. He participated in many short and long dash, course, and marathon running races where he received many medals and awards of achievement. Rubin participated in the Denver Colfax Marathon in Colorado in which he was given a certificate of completion. He was known to hang out with his parents and family. Rubin was an exceptional son who was dedicated and worked diligently around his parents’ home. He enjoyed spending time with his parents going to restaurants and riding around town. Rubin started his own business named Rubin’s Lawn Service where he would assist the elderly with their yard work and provide his services to the community. Many people loved and respected his generous heart and the assistance he offered them. His family remembers him for always taking his famous pudding dessert to all family gatherings and holidays. Rubin was a devoted supporter of his siblings, nieces/great-nieces, and nephews/great nephews always attending every extracurricular event of theirs and enjoying hanging out with them. Rubin enjoyed the traditional meal he would make at his home for his family. He loved attending all Tiger games, enjoyed writing poetry, and playing frisbee with his family. Rubin had a humble generous heart. He never missed a holiday, party, or family gathering. In his final moments of life and throughout his life, he desired to be more personal and closer to the Lord.  His final wish was granted on Saturday, December 18, 2021, when the Lord delivered him from his recent illness.
