Joselino Lopez, age 94, passed in his home in Rialto California on Saturday, December 4, 2021.
Joselino known to his family and friends as “Joe” is survived by his children Joe Lopez Jr. and Lela M Cordova, his brothers Tim Lopez and John Lopez, his sisters Ida Romero and Sally Gonzoles, His 5 grandchildren Anna, Debra, Michael, Melissa, and Carolyn. He also has 12 great-grandchildren and 4 great children.
Joselino was smitten by Josephine Vigil and married her on June 30, 1946. They lived in Raton New Mexico and started their family. When Joe Jr and Lela finished school they moved to San Diego while he finished his 30 years in the Navy. Joe and Josie moved to Rosemead, Ca, and then to Rialto, Ca. They lived happily together and celebrated their 60-year anniversary before Josie passed in 2006.
Joselino is a 30 Year Veteran of the United States Navy. While in service with the Navy he survived 3 wars: WW2, Korea, and Vietnam. He retired with honors as an E6 First Class Boatswains Mate. After serving Joe became a 30-year Entrepreneur by opening Joe and Son Auto body with his son in Baldwin Park Ca.
Joselino’s experience in the Navy played a very important role in his life. He frequently pointed out that the Navy taught him the value of discipline and teamwork. He was a perfectionist in his Navy career and at his work at Joe and Son Autobody.
Joselino’s past times were telling his loved ones about his experiences and adventures in the Navy and the many destinations he traveled to around the world. He enjoyed Westerns because they reminded him of when he was young and lived his life as a cowboy himself. His love of cars and driving fast was in his blood since the purchase of his first car.
Joselino is the backbone of his family and his children and grandchildren respected and loved him more than words could ever describe. He will be forever in the hearts of the people whose lives he has touched. He will be greatly missed.
