Joe L. Vigil, age 83, passed away on November 15, 2021, in Colorado Springs, CO.
He was born in Trinidad, Colorado to Laura (Myers) and Leo Vigil.
Joe was a coal miner having worked for 23 years at the Allen and New Elk Mines until his retirement.
He was a member of UMWA Local 9856.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, JoAnn Vigil, three daughters JoLene (Michael) Vigil, Lynette Vigil, Collene Vigil, six grandchildren, Jessica Vigil, Nick Vigil, Whitney Roundtree, Jarred Valdez, Justine Valdez, Joey Gonzales, nine great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
At his request, cremation with private family inurnment at a later date.
