Mary P. Walker, age 91, went to be with the Lord on October 31, 2021. Mary was born on December 9, 1929, daughter to Joe Felix and Fermina Trujillo. She was the fourth child out of ten. She was born and raised in the tinaja and Eagle Tail area not far from Raton, NM.
Mary moved to California and that is where she made her home until her husband, William, passed. Both enjoyed working outdoors, traveling, doing things together and their most deepest passion was to bowl.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, William, her parents Joe Felix and Fermina Trujillo, brothers, Manuel, Louis, and Lee. Sisters; Rosabel and Josephine.
She is survived by brother Joe B. Trujillo and his wife Ramona. Sisters: Florine Walker, Nancy Leach and Elizabeth Trujillo-Grimmig all of whom reside in Raton, New Mexico. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and other family members.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Zimly, Dr. Lopez, and all other medical personnel that provided medical care for her. Special thanks also to the health care team; Tina, Ted, and Robin for her last wishes of care.
Thank you to the entire staff at the Northeast Regional Housing for their friendliness, compassion, promptness, and for the great service provided. Mary loved her place, her neighbors, and was proud to have made it her home.
Per Mary’s request, there will be no viewing as cremation has been taken place. She also requested a graveside service for her and her husband on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Fairmont Cemetery in Raton with Father Bill Woytavich as the Celebrant.
