G. Cristine Berry, 66, of Maxwell, passed away on November 18, 2021, in Amarillo, TX.
Cristine Berry was born in Springer, NM to Cristobal and Maria Trujillo on November 14, 1955. Cristine went to school and graduated from Maxwell Municipal Schools. She married Michael K. Berry on June 27, 1979, in Las Vegas, NV. She was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the Army, and was a member of the Army National Guard. Cristine knew that she had a calling to help others and decided to become a nurse. She graduated from Trinidad State Junior College as a Registered Nurse. She worked as an RN for 25+ years. She retired from the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute.
Cristine was a devoted wife, mother, and nana. She never hesitated for a second to help her family in any way she could. She loved her grandchildren more than anything in the world.
Cristine is preceded in death by her parents Cristobal and Maria Trujillo, her sister Virginia Miller, infant sister Angel, brother-in-law Terrance L. Miller, brother-in-law Donald Berry and son Christopher Berry.
Cristine is survived by her husband Michael Berry, daughter Desiree Avila and her husband Alex, daughter Kimberly Berry and husband Alex, brother Paul Trujillo, sister Mary Kincaid and her husband Chad, brother Tony Trujillo and his wife Stella, sister Phyllis Kite and her husband Gray, grandchildren Jaron Berry, Aiden Avila, Jazlyn Holguin, Alexandra Avila, Nathaniel Avila, Justice Ortiz, great-grandchild Braxton Berry and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on December 10, 2021, at 10 am at the Family Worship Center in Raton, NM with Pastor Josh Wood, officiating. Burial will follow at Tinaja Cemetery. Arrangements are by Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
