In Loving Memory of Rosemary Stohr

Rosemary Stohr, age 63, passed away unexpectedly at home in Tucson, Arizona on October 26, 2021. She was born on January 21, 1958, in Raton, New Mexico.   Rose attended St. Patrick’s School through 8th grade and graduated from Raton High School in 1976 as valedictorian of her class.  She was active in Girl Scouts and enjoyed her summers at Lazy Acres Girl Scout Camp near Rye, Colorado.  She attended college at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and earned her degree in chemical-petroleum engineering.  She worked in Houston, Texas, and Tucson, Arizona.

Rose enjoyed walking, reading, and nature, especially butterflies.  She will be remembered for her sweet disposition and humility.  

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Mary Joan Stohr, her brother, Terry Stohr, her beloved aunt, Margaret Stohr, as well as her grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles. Rose is survived by her siblings: Jean Bissett, Colorado Springs, Kay Stohr-Banks (Jerry) Colorado Springs, Ken Stohr (Kathy), Centreville, Virginia, John Stohr (Cindy), San Diego, as well as nine nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 19 at St. Patrick-St. Joseph’s Church in Raton, NM.   Burial will follow.

Arrangements for Rosemary Stohr are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
