In Loving Memory of John (Jack) Claflin

John (Jack) Claflin passed away peacefully at home on November 7th, 2021, at the age of 72. He was born in Trinidad, Colorado on April 29, 1949, to John Claflin & Ginger Loucks.

Preceded in death by Father John Claflin, Mother Ginger Loucks. Brother Jerry Claflin sons JD Claflin & Jerry Fernandez.

Survived by his wife of 41 years Bernadette Claflin. Children Antoinette (Josh) Choate, Jackie Romero, Roy Elliott, Joaquin (Gabby) Gonzales, Desiree (Omar) Abdalla, Crystal Gonzales, Angel Fernandez, Shawna (Mike) Claflin, Angelo (Alicia) Claflin, Analicia Claflin, Christa (David) Madrid.

Brothers & Sisters: Ginger (Pete) Kazmierkoski, Richard (Carolyn) Claflin, Irene Robey (Mike), Robbie (Tammi) Loucks, Bert Loucks, Erma Claflin

Numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren special Granddaughters, Shelby Brown, Shay Choate, Sara Choate, Brianna Lopez.

Special Nieces & Nephews John (Skeeter) Pearl Claflin, Jolynn Santistevan, Tammy Santistevan, Fred (Jamie) Barrera, Joe (Gina) Gonzales & numerous nieces & nephews.

Special Friends: Curtis Romero, Sweepie Fresquez, John John Martinez, Joe Martinez, Sam Samora, Bob Ortiz

Jack worked for the city of Trinidad for many years. He enjoyed fishing, boating, playing pool, gambling, riding his motorcycle, drinking coffee with friends, working in his yard & spending time with his family. His most enjoyment was taking care of his 2 great-granddaughters Analicia & Kiley Gonzales-Choate.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021, at 2:00 pm at the First Christian Church with Pastor Carry Nelson Officiating. Arrangements were made under the direction of the Comi Funeral home.
