In Loving Memory of Maria Guadalupe Trujillo

Maria Guadalupe Trujillo, age 99, resident of Maxwell, NM was called to heaven on October 29, 2021.

She was born in Tinaja, NM on February 28, 1922.

She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife of 49 years, mother, and grandmother. She doted on her grandchildren and enjoyed her great grandchildren.

She was a member of the St Vincent de Paul alter society for over 50 years. She was a devout catholic, always willing to help others, preparing meals, or helping in any that was needed to neighbors, family, and friends. She was an avid reader, enjoyed word search and playing games on her tablet.

She is survived by her children, son Paul Trujillo and companion Mary Cruz of Maxwell, daughter Cristine Berry and husband Mike of Maxwell, son Tony Trujillo and wife Stella of Tucumcari, Mary Kincaid and husband Chad of Dodge City, Kansas, and daughter Phyllis Kite and husband Gray of Albuquerque. She is also survived by her brother David Cruz and wife Mary Alice of Cimarron and thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents Zenon and Felicita Cruz, infant daughter Angel, husband Cristóbal, grandson Christopher Berry, son in law Terrance L Miller, daughter Virginia, brothers Joe and Kearny Cruz, sisters Annie, Florence and Eliza Archuleta and Alice Cruz.

Recitation of the most Holy Rosary will be Wednesday November 17, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Springer with Deacon Ed Olona followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Trieu as the Celebrant. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Tinaja Cemetery in Tinaja N.M.
