In Loving Memory of Rudy  Valdez 

Rudy  Valdez of Trinidad CO went to be with the Lord on September 3, 2021, at the age of 74. He was born and raised in Starkville CO.,  a  place he called his true home he was the son of Pacifico and Cecelia Valdez and dear brother to Sister’s Sadie,  Lydia, Silvia Valdez, and brothers Phil, Dave,  Paul & Leroy Valdez. 

He is survived by his children Matthew, Lisa, and Erik Valdez. Grandchildren Kailynn, Kiayanna, Heavenleigh, Krystianna, and Joshua Valdez and Devin and Tyler Brown Great-grandchildren, Jace, and Jade Valdez and Izabella, Nevaeh, and Azai  Brown.

Rudy served in the United States Army, having served for 2 years and earned an Honorable Discharge. He spoke many times about his experiences while traveling in the Army. Germany and visiting the Swiss Alps while on leave were a couple of his favorites. 

Rudy was an old-fashioned, kind, and humble man!  He loved his family. He loved to talk with old friends and sit under the tree while writing in his journal. He wrote a number of books, but most importantly he loved God and spoke of his blessings often. He Prayed daily and passed it down to his children. 

He enjoyed the simple things in life, like the evening sky,  tv westerns, and classic country music.

He will be dearly missed and kept close to the hearts of many!  

He is preceded in death by Pacifico, and Cecelia, and brother Phil Valdez. 

Funeral services will be held at Apostolic Church at 2 PM November 5, 2021, with the burial at Starkville Cemetery.


Following the inurnment, there will be a reception at the Apostolic Church. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family in the care of the Comi Funeral Home.

Arrangements were made under the direction of the Comi Funeral Home.
